UNFORGIVING SPIRIT - A VENOM 2 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:25 (KJV) In his book The Chief: A Memoir of Fathers and Sons, Lance Morrow said “Not to forgive is to be imprisoned by the past, by old grievances that do not permit life to proceed with new business. Not to forgive is to yield oneself to anothers control... to be locked into a sequence of act and response, of outrage and revenge, tit for tat, escalating always. The present is endlessly overwhelmed and devoured by the past. Forgiveness frees the forgiver. It extracts the forgiver from someone elses nightmare.” Unforgiveness can be a hidden culprit. It can make you a prisoner within yourself. Jesus told His disciples And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:....Mark 11:25 (KJV). Unforgiveness is one of the greatest hindrance to many unanswered prayers. We locked down the answers we are crying for within the walls of our heart...when you stand praying, forgive. It can choke your answers to death. When an unforgiving spirit lives inside you, it isn’t bothering those who have wronged you. They’ve gone on their way. But you are still holding onto something that has taken control of your thoughts, actions and words. It eats away at you like a poisonous cancer, and you find yourself bound, with no peace. In reality, you are punishing yourself. Forgiveness has nothing to do with trust, yes, forgiveness is not earned by the one who hurt you, so you must forgive whether or not a person asks for it. But trust is earned, its something that must be rebuilt over time if its necessary. The bible did not say we must trust. Trust requires a track record, it must be built and tested. Forgiving someone doesnt necessarily mean that you must have lunch with the person. We must be wise else well continue to make the same mistake over again. It does not always lead to a healed relationship because some people are not capable of love and it might be wise to let them go, no hard feelings, no prejudice nor malice, keep on praying for them for a change and free your heart. Learn to live in total peace with yourself and God...its the utmost. Prayer of Faith: Heal me sweet Holy Spirit from the brokenness of hurt and betrayals and help me to trust again...Amen Pls share to bless someone (Like our page for Holy Ghost inspired daily devotionals for spiritual upliftment and personal development @ facebook/gloryzone02 )
