UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST ............that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17:21 Denominations in this our generation has contributes negatively to the present body of Christ. Yes Jesus told his disciples to go and preach the gospel, not denominations, we today in the gospel setup are no more interested in preaching the gospel as required ,but busy building our self castle of disunity in the name of denominations. God has no interest in this but that the lost souls might be saved thru the body or Christ, whether Jew or Greek, today the so-called denominations has created lots of enmity among us, when there are suppose to be unity Understanding and Love. Unity to us today is a bypassed issue. We turn everything to battle field of who is who creating unnecessary havocs. The Word of God says; With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in LOVE; 3 Endeavouring to keep the UNITY of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as we are called in one hope of our calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:2-6 The denominational tug-of-war began when men got too involved in the minor issues and forgot to focus on the major, instead of on the saving of lost souls required of Jesus Christ. Denominational differences have caused innumerable conflicts and divisions among believers. That is not Gods will for the church! God calls us to be united in serving Him. We should Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. God is not interested in which denomination we belong to. He desires that we love Him and serve Him faithfully in unity and peace. But we must be concerned that the church we are involved is a true Bible teaching church, and not an apostate church that no longer adheres to biblical principles set-forth by the Lord in the Holy Scriptures. We shouldnt allow the unproductive spirit of hatred and boasting in pride to ruin our eternal values. The Word of God says;.......after they had held their peace, James answered saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called saith the Lord who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Acts 15:13-18 So that all may be ONE,that is what Jesus Christ proposed then,and we should allow it to materialised through the Love and Unity from us to our brethren.
