UPDATE (7/17): In the way of progress, April has been opening her right eye on a much more regular basis. She occasionally even gets it open all of the way! She has also been vocalizing more--no words yet, but more sounds. One of her speech therapists insists that one of Aprils sounds is her sound for yes. April seems to be storming much less this week and is therefore, more relaxed. However, her excessive tone is still an issue, but her therapists are pleased with the results they are getting from her serial castings. Yesterday David had a team meeting with everyone involved with April and they guaranteed him that she would be here four more weeks. Slowly, but surely, her stay at Madonna continues to extend:-) We give thanks for that! Prayer requests would be that she could continue to gain strength in her core and control of her neck, arm, and leg muscles. That she would find her voice. That the storming would completely cease. And lastly, please pray that while she is only able to communicate with us in a very limited way, that she is relying on her faith in Christ, who loves her so much more than even we do, to communicate her needs and trusting Him to pull her through this. Thank you.
