#UPDATE: #Typhoon #Hagupit has made its first landfall in the eastern #Philippines, with winds of over 100mph gusting to 130mph. Islamic Relief has been hard at work preparing for this for several days, helping to evacuate families and ensure that supplies of food and hygiene kits are available in reception centres. As many as 35 million people could be affected by this latest typhoon. Once again, one year on from the record storms of Typhoon Haiyan, Islamic Relief is ready to answer the call. We are working in partnership with a range of aid agencies and authorities including Unicef, Plan, Catholic Relief Services, the Ormoc City Administration and the Daanbantayan Local Government Unit.
