The truth is that secondary education remains the baseline for academic excellence. If your secondary education was marred with inconsistency and lack of seriousness, it would always show in the life you live in the real world. Key definitions and decisions that established many people were made during their secondary school days. They saw the dream clearly and they followed up the dream. Even when they hit a brick wall, they never lost focus. They remained resolute for it was indeed a dream. The truth is that a significant percentage of those that followed their dreams keenly succeeded in life. Chances are that you are still struggling in life because you have decided never to live your life, rather, you are living the life of someone else. Many people have become what former President Obasanjo called FOLLOW FOLLOW. It means people that follow anything they see without critical thinking and substantive analysis. I am not asking you not to diversify but even as you diversify from one thing to another, always remember the dream, the target you had as you were growing up and the mark you envisaged to leave. All fingers are acknowledged as fingers. The truth that has gained ground all over the world is that all fingers are not equal. Some fingers are taller than others and some are shorter than others. Do what your heart tells you. Stop forcing yourself to do what someone else is doing. It is possible that the other person you are trying to follow is actually following his or her heart. Now that you have refused to listen to your heart and you are following someone who is following his or her heart, can’t you see that you are deliberately planning your own failure? There is always a demon that is doing everything to make you miserable in life, to render you useless and permanently make you unhappy. Do not play into his evil hands by refusing to follow your heart. Rise like the morning star and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. If you know that thing your heart has been telling you to do that you have been relegating to the background, make up your mind and start it tomorrow.
