Underwent a three hour excursion to the Cambodian Thailand border to experience Preah Vihear, a temple disputed by both cultures as belonging to them where there were recent military operations which arose when Cambodia applied for the site as a world heritage location. A series of four structures each in sequence preceeded by a wide formal avenues culminated in a temple at the very top of a cliff. There were monks chanting and it was singular moving experience to witness this amazing human achievement of architecture, engineering, and symbolism.
