Unfortunately, four tree climbers killed in 2 1/2 weeks. Although it does happen, I take training for both of my professions very serious. Its made the difference between me going home and others going to the morgue during 10 years of military special ops, my past 25 years in law enforcement, and it has kept me safe as a rookie arborist. This past year I have attended 5 arborist courses. Two of them were aerial rescue courses that will assist in law enforcement, tree work, and possibly would have helped save... or definitely recover quicker... this climber today. Always strive to learn from your mistakes, as well as the mistakes of others. I will be praying for this climber, his family, friends, and his loved ones. Luke 12:40...
