Update- i am sitting with jay. Sometime in early hrs 1 of his lungs collapsed. They had warned us this was one of the dangers of lung surgery. He is doing ok this morning. Pain is high. They just doubled up his dose allowance. We sat for a little while reading all the facebook comments. This made him smile. He is asking for pics of all his grandbabies.. Both facebook and actual photos for him to keep with him. He said he needs these to keep his spirits up. So James A. Lafrance, Jessie Lafrance, Dawn M. Skidders if everyone could post or send us a pic please. They ended up removing a pretty good chunk of lung. The dr. drew it out for us to see better. They feel good about the chunk they took out but it probably not be the end of this fight yet. When they drs warn you that chemo will probably be next step... Its hard to keep thinking positive from this surgery. He just tried to have lunch... Soup broth.. Not doing so well :( my big guy is gonna come home a small guy.
