Update: This POS Jonathan Granger has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty. Granger is due in court on October 16. A video posted on Facebook earlier in the week by Grangers neighbor, showed a defenseless dog crying in pain and fear as he was repeatedly beaten. Animal advocates and online readers were so offended and outraged by the apparent animal cruelty, dozens of calls flooded the Rankin County Sheriffs Office. By Tuesday morning, the dog named Rocko had been removed from Grangers home and has been reported to be in the custody and care of Sheriff Bailey. On Wednesday, the witness and person who captured the video and posted it online, signed the needed legal affidavits for the complaint. Dont think for one moment that we are powerless because we are not! It was social media that helped to catch this monster.
