Update number bazillion on my Restoration Hardware dining table. After the back and forth of whether or not I would get the table, I finally did. AND NOW... I think I loathe it. :( Its pretty looking, but the sample of wood they sent isnt a good representation of the ENTIRE table, just the outer border. The planks on the inside are much more rough than the border. The table snags all dishrags and clothing every single day, this makes it difficult to clean. Not only does it snag in the middle, but on the outer edges which means if you lean on it you will snag your clothing. Its also more rugged than expected which means I have to dustbust the darn thing in order to keep it clean. You cannot just wipe it clean, ever. The third aggravating thing about this table is it is already chipping off wood, most likely where its snagging on thing and being pulled off (like splinters) and is now showing a large number of natural wood spots. I have had the table a month or so. The table is stained black, but the stain doesnt go deep. I could probably point out 20+ natural wood spots. I think I need to contact them about taking it back, but havent looked into the policy. I hate the thought of having to keep a fairly pricy table that is already destroying clothing and chipping Hoping friends reading this will learn lessons from my experience! Boohoo.
