Update on the boy who was on my bad list after he said I looked like I had been teaching for 30 years.:) He has been coming to me on his own time for help with math. Today he made a 93 on a math test. He came by after class, thanked me, hugged my neck and asked if I would go with him to tell the Asst. Principal ( who had been on his case earlier for his behavior) what he made. Just goes to show: be they 7 or 17, kids all want/need the same thing.
