VACANCY. MULEMBE FM, RADIO PRESENTER POSITION: Mulembe Fm is seeking to fill the position of a radio presenter. If you believe you have what it takes to convince people to tune in to your voice everyday then the job is yours. Radio presenting is all about personality, charisma, being well informed, attention to detail, life passion, engaging, sociable and those are the easy ones! See below for other skills you require. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will among others be able to; • Research, plan and develop on air content, ideas and concepts. • On air presentation/continuity. • Pre-production and post production of show. • Writing broadcasting reports (program schedule) and execute commercial logs • Music research, identifying and proposing music that’s should be incorporated into the station sound. • Forwarding feedback from listeners. • Carry out outside broadcasting/Roadshows. • Attending functions on behalf of the station. • Copy writing for promos and sometimes commercials. • Receiving briefs from clients/ marketers/ supervisor and executing accordingly. • Scripting, recording, packaging and producing station features • Be a positive station ambassador • Present, project and maintain the values of the station • Creatively create and execute on air gaming elements • Developing new segments. THE PERSON • Less than 35 years of age. • A bachelor’s degree preferably in the arts. • Mass communication training. • 3 years experience. • Fluent in spoken and written Luhya, English and Swahili, kabras dialect added advantage. • Demonstrated ability to write and present creative scripts and promotional concepts • Able to work long hours/odd hours without supervision. • Have an ear for music and life stories • A good rich voice • A good story teller.
