VIrginia is in the process of redesigning their waivers (the ID, DD and Day Support Waiver will all be renamed in 2015 with new and different services being offered in 2016 -- they will also be opened up to all populations (no longer just ID on one waiver, DD on another, etc). Part of the reason for these changes is discussed below. The federal medicaid agency established new rules and Virginia, like many states, will not be in compliance with them if they dont change their waivers.
