VOA is visa on arrival thats what is being granted to 42 nationalities visiting Goa including countries from the far east but what is surprising is that citizens of United Kingdom and Germany are denied a VOA. Is it an attempt by Manohar Parrikar and Shripad Naik to finish tourism in Goa which sustains 30 percent of Goans to eke a decent living???? Both these gentlemen in Delhi have not uttered a word or lobbied with the Central government to provide this facility to the British and Germans who were among the frequent and regular European tourists visiting Goa since the inception of the chartered flights like Condor and tour packages of operators like TUI, Thomas Cook Cox and Kings. Apparently this is a subtle attempt to finish Tourism and hospitality industry in Goa which calls for ecological awareness and efforts to promote a green Goa resulting and forcing Goans to fall back on the mining industry to rake the moolah and falling prey to the pressures and jerks of the mining lobby which creates devastation of the fragile ecology especially the ground water table, the wild life, the flora and fauna the agricultural farm lands and depletion of the scarce mineral resources of Goa. This policy of giving step motherly treatment to tourism by denying VOA to UK and Germany could be a result of huge donations finding it way to the party coffers as was the case during the Congress regime. This explains the silence of the ex Chief Minister of Goa and MP Shripad Naik on the visa on arrival issue following the dictates of the powerful mining lobby and the Rupees 800 crores bait!!!!!!
