Vaccination is a subject thats near and dear to my heart, as I vaccinate children on a daily basis. I see parents that would love to vaccinate their children but arent able to because of a true contraindication and I see parents that wouldnt dare vaccinate their child because they dont want to hurt the child or cause temporary pain. And ever situation in-between... the good, the bad, and the ugly for lack of better comparison. One suggestion that I would make to someone considering not vaccinating is to be fully educated on vaccines, dont just read the reasons not to vaccinate articles, read the reasons to vaccinate articles too. I feel fairly certain that when there are vaccination clinics in areas of the world that are afflicted by these illness, parents come from miles to insure that their child has an opportunity to be protected during the next outbreak. One of my biggest pet peeves? why do we vaccinate for this? no one gets this illness anymore well thats because they have been eradicated thanks to vaccinations. But obviously if you look at the map, when we stop vaccinating, they start to reappear...
