November 25th, beat the statistics Yesterday, past Monday, Ilse commenced the 7th preventive cure of chemo. She suffers from that. Yesterday night being tired and suffering from nausea, and this morning she didnt wake up quite nice either. That doesnt stop Ilse from getting into action, this week is way to much fun for that! Ilse is in an internship in the health center in our area this week. Thats the health center where people who support us in many ways yet for many years, who are committed permanently, who do everything to make it as easy as possible for us. Unfortunately, Ilse cannot tell us quite much, due to the nondisclosure agreement which she takes quite serious. But its clear for us that shes enjoying the internship very much. The fact that Ilse still continues going on, despite the heavy past and a current which is not easy either, beats all existing statistics. At school, Ilse is doing well. Not any low grade at the highest level of education that exists in the dutch highschool system. The fact that Ilse is performing that well at school, despite her many times of absence, and despite the physical discomforts, beats all existing statistics. And talking about statistics. Against all exisiting statistics, her physical well being, at least in the periods inbetween the cures, is improving. She walks better and better, her blood values remain at high, proper levels, her liver and kidneys are still in an excellent condition, and shes regaining energy. And then her huge enemy, the Ewing sarcom. Against all statistics, it remains dissappeared, it seems like it gave up, not any sign of it anymore. Ilse is fully swimming against the current. How proud we are!
