Vandy here -- Just so everyone is clear, Lenny has not yet been released. I talked with him this morning. As always, he is in good spirits. He was telling me about a newspaper article that he is sending me that talks about how a person who steals a pair of Rayban sunglasses will be sentenced as a felon. Meaning that someone who steals a $200 pair of sunglasses will cost the American taxpayer millions before they are eligible for release. To keep a prisoner incarcerated, at todays rate, will cost the taxpayers between $30,000 and $50,000 every year that person is incarcerated. So someone with a 20 years sentence will cost the taxpayers about $600,000 on the low end of that scale. And as you know the cost of everything seems to always increase. Lenny has served almost 20 years now. If he lives 20 more years, which no doubt he will, it will have cost taxpayers over a million dollars to keep him behind bars. He stole $341 and no one was hurt.
