Very solid victory today for EPM CC! Thats two on the trot, to give us a 2-2 record going into the one dayer next week at Callan Park. Ted and Christians heroics last week were the key, along with a second five for in a row for the evergreen Gregorio. A bit of resistance for the 10th wicket shows that this comp has strong batting and conducive pitches. The correlate of which is that committed fielding and patient bowling leads to victories. This is a real adjustment for the team after our MPSECA years where low scores were the norm, and generally, long days in the field were a rarity. A very difficult decision on man of the match points this one- does Gregatinho get 3 for his 5 fa? Ted for his 46? Christian surely deserves points for coming in at 8/180 and takin the team to 265. My inclination as a fast bowler is 3 Greg, 2 Ted, 1 Christo, but theres an argument to go 2:2:2 for the strong contribution from Ted, and in recognition of Christos crucial 37n.o. What say you? (LW)
