Very surreal experience last night, my 20th Pearl Jam show, 1st attended by myself although I was hardly alone. I had 12k PJ fans to hang out with! Shout out to Denise Perkins Rupp whom I met last night and had a good time chatting about music and such. The show was epic...36 songs just short of 3 hours. The biggest surprise: playing No Code in order in its entirety! Only the 3rd time in the bands 24 year history to do an album from to back. What made it even more shocking was that it was their first show ever in Moline, meaning there were more 1st timers than usual in attendance! That takes some serious balls to do that unannounced. The thousands of hardcore fans were ecstatic (myself included). But Hey, Eddie did write a song specifically for the locals tentative titled Moline? 24 years, 20 shows and they continue to amaze me. Show 21 coming up Monday in Milwaukee!
