Very well articulated, Avita. Promoters, deejays, and club owners should realize they are a representation of their business and in doing so, they are promoting a specific culture of that business and a personal image. It is up to you to define what that culture will be. If you continue to wallow in degenerate behavior, you and your business is also degenerate, regardless of whomever you may attract into the club. Instead of capitalizing on alleged fame to promote disgusting, amoral, hedonistic behavior, these self-proclaimed businessmen and their followers should work less hard at covering their tracks when they commit a violent crime against another human being (especially if youre a man beating on a female patron in a club) and exert that energy towards becoming better role models for young men and women. How about we do something different for our community and STOP turning a blind eye and deaf ear to what is becoming an epidemic in this highly self-absorbed and egotistical generation? Would you want your daughter, mother, niece, or sister beaten by a stranger who is on an ego trip simply because they feel they have a high status in a club? It makes me sick to my stomach to know so many people know this, will read this, and yet make excuses why its okay for a man to punch a girl in the face OR assuage the many incidents men AND women so freely call females whores, hoes, sluts, which is indirectly promoting more violence against women, then go about their weekend popping bottles in certain establishments owned and promoted by CRIMINALS. Wrong is wrong, regardless of someones popularity. Its time to start reconsidering who and what environment we surround ourselves with and question what that says about our own beliefs and moral judgment. Call me a feminist. Call me dramatic. I call it taking a stand for humanity. If you dont like it, PLEASE remove me as a friend. Youd be giving me a head start on clearing out the trash from my life.
