Victorian Labor Leader Daniel Andrews put the plight of firefighters to the fore in the media storm about Labor’s polling success. If an election had been held this week the polls indicated that Napthine would probably be the first one-term Government since 1955. As media swarmed yesterday, Daniel Andrews headed to the Richmond Fire Station and today he was at Geelong City Fire Station. Professional Firefighers were heartened to hear Daniel Andrews pledge to end the war on Victorian emergency services that the Napthine Government is waging. Labor have also declared they will introduce presumptive legislation to recognise occupational cancer for Victorian firefighters.
