Viva Barcelona! What a fabulous privilege to have spent the day with Chloe Pettifar Burgin and family. Having visited here many times, I managed for the first time to completely screw up the train. Went from Catalunya to Montserrat, stunning mountains about an hour inland as opposed to San Pol, an hour north along the coast! I sent Paul an SMS from the train saying that instead f seeing the Med, I was seeing beautiful mountains and the the stations were getting smaller and smaller... No doubt wrong train. I eventually got off at a tiny station, high in the mountains and waited for the next train to Barcelona, then waited for the right one... So 18 hours of flying and layover, looking messy then an hour each way on the train before finally getting here! So glad though as the mountains were stunning and a real mistaken treat, will have to come back. When I got to San Pil, I dragged my bag up the hill and kicked on the door. Paul called Chloe and said there was something to sign. She literally shrieked when she saw me, what a wonderful moment! We barely stopped reminiscing, laughing and singing till we fell into bed around midnight. Amazing how you can pick up a conversation after years and it fells like someone just stepped out of the room and that the is no time gone in between! We are planning a fun weekend of catching up before I return to work on Monday! So very lucky!
