Vote 1, Andrew Wilcox The five key issues that the Palmer United Party stands for, and is committed to addressing, are: - Ensuring Australia has no paid lobbyists, saving taxpayer dollars and introducing fairness. We believe that office bearers need to represent the membership and they cannot do this if they are receiving large amounts of funding from companies or business groups - Implementing a regional wealth policy where 25% of wealth created in a local area is reinvested back into the that local community for future growth - Abolishing the Carbon Tax, delivering an immediate reduction in electricity prices, as well as providing Australian families with refund from the date the tax was introduced - Using Australian wealth for Australia by using mineral resources to create domestic processing and domestic manufacturing we will create jobs, increase our exports, and deliver greater revenue and a rising standard of living (including better education and health services) for Australians, and - Revising the current Australian Government’s Refugee Policy to ensure Australia is protected and the financial incentives for people smugglers are removed. Our Common Sense Policy will save Australia billions of dollars, restore the Navy to its traditional role, save the lives of children and families, and recognize the legitimate rights of those refugees with a lawful reason for entering Australia.
