To the Membership of Boilermakers Local 128 First and foremost, I would like to start off by thanking each of you for voting me into the position of Trustee. It was a great honour to earn your vote, trust and respect. Thank-you. I now find myself in a similar dilemma as the rest of you. Where are we going and who will lead us. I worry about our future and the caliber of whom might lead us into 2014 and beyond. No disrespect to the individuals running, but I believe we need new blood, someone not afraid to act and do what is best for the members of today and more so, the members of our future. With that said; I am now looking for your support again. We have a chance to make a difference. I’m willing, eager and more than capable of being your President, to take on the challenges of the position, perform the job to the best of my ability and work with the newly elected Business Manager. For those of you who know me, my name and reputation are my platform. I’m a dedicated person in whatever task is given. Once I start something I will see it through. I believe in being straight, direct and I am true to my word. For the members I haven’t yet had the pleasure of working with, I have been a tradesman for 15 years and have worked all over Ontario and in several other provinces. As President of our Local I guarantee that your voice will be heard. Your issues won’t be swept under the carpet. All duties and decisions will be done in a fair and professional manner. Brothers and sisters, we have a rich history and our skills are legendary and yet our future is fogging. We have non-unionized workers at our door, we need to rebuild trust among the Brotherhood and ensure transparency over all the day to day business practices and activities. A vote for me is a vote in a Brotherhood that intends to stay strong, be around for years to come and shine above the rest. In solidarity, DAN GREIG
