WALKING FOR CHANGE! ------------------------------ ------------------------------- Many will be thinking what is meant walking for change . Friedrich Nietzsche says, All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking. This is not just an ordinary exercise but a walk for hope, a spiritual movement in life heading for strong foundation, a charitable concern promoting excellence in governance, meeting point for all positive thinkers and helping hand to the less privileged in society. Today, our great nation is beset by millions of problems and challenges facing the entire populace across states including issues like warming, national and religion conflicts, terrorism, refugees in neighboring countries and internal displaced persons, kidnapping, poverty and hunger, ethnic segregation, social and gender differences, human rights abuse, rapid and unsustainable depletion of natural resources, illiteracy, inadequate healthcare, degraded education system, corruption, nepotism, oil theft and global health epidemics like malaria, HIV/AIDS, Ebola and other related diseases. Walking for Change is undertaken with some cogent objectives in mind like harmony within societies, equality for all, sustainable living, women empowerment, community health, security, youth empowerment, education upgraded from its darkest moment and eradicating corruption to the grassroots. This road walk initiated by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of the State of Osun which Hon. Bola Ilori as the convener will cover some kilometers a day and halt in the evening at prearranged town en-route . In the evening there will be meeting with elders and the entire populace which will include meaningful dialogues and departing to our various destinations. Work for Change is an exercise to restore the innate spiritual and standards of the nation to rekindle the true faith and rejuvenating the spirit of NEW NIGERIA, love, peace, harmony and oneness arising from political, culture and religions misunderstanding to prove that people can live together despite differences. Join people of great mind, chieftains of All Progressive Party, APC governors and aspirants and committed members, Progressive e-group which I so much believe in to WALK FOR CHANGE IN NIGERIA. This walk includes, creating awareness through a dynamic campaigns, encouraging social entrepreneurship by market women, building long-term relationship with local communities, and mentoring and channelizing youth potential. I, Adeyemi Adepoju strongly believes the outcome (emergence of General Muhammadu Buhari/Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN) will sow seeds for a country where equal opportunity is given to all and a united NIGERIA.
