WCHE NEWS - La Comunidad Hispana grew 182 pounds of food for the Chester County Food Bank. The non-profit organization grew the food in garden beds outside its Kennett Square office. Volunteers managed and operated the garden from April to October. Volunteers then distributed the goods to local food cupboards. The amount of food grown was enough to feed 40 people for an entire day. Crops included peppers, broccoli, collard greens, and tomatoes. For more information visit LaComunidadHispana.org.
