WE ARE INCORPORATED! Campaign Gets Green Light from the State of California :: :: :: A couple of weeks ago, we mentioned here that the Campaign had filed Articles of Incorporation with the California Secretary of State. We received word yesterday that our Articles have been approved. The Emperors Bridge Campaign now is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. From the earliest days, the Campaign has expressed its desire and intention to lay the organizational foundation that would enable the Campaign to establish itself as the leading public resource on the history and culture of Emperor Norton. This is a key milestone along that path. Thanks so much to our core supporters who have worked to draft, develop and finalize the Campaigns founding documents, including our Articles of Incorporation. Special thanks to our attorney, David Starkweather, for his review of these documents and his patient advice on the process of incorporation — both of which were instrumental in producing the positive result that were delighted to report today.
