WHO ARE THE TEN VIRGINS! Part 1 Parable of the Ten Virgins Matthew 25:1-13, New American Bible translation 1“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones, when taking their lamps, brought no oil with them, 4 But the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 Since the bridegroom was long delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 At midnight, there was a cry, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise ones replied, ‘No, for there may not be enough for us and you. Go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 While they went off to buy it, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him. Then the door was locked. 11 Afterwards the other virgins came and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’ 12 But he said in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour. Dear friend, I wish you happy prosperous new year, this year will be the very year you have been waiting for, for God to open your doors, and make away for you in the wilderness, God will answer all your prayers in all ramifications in Jesus name. But friend, you need to know that year in year out is bringing us nearer to the end! So dont allow festivity to make you to forget that we have a temporary time to spend on the earth! Therefore, we are going to begin the year with the story of the ten virgins, we want to see by the Spirit of the Lord, who are the ten virgins? Then by the Spirit of grace, we are going to see many messages from this thirteen verses that narrated the story of the ten virgins. Let us see the first message as the Holy Spirit gave me understanding. 1“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. Matthew 25:1-2. A. This parable was told by Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. B. This parable made us to understand that all believers in Christ are virgins. C. Then the parable made us to understand that we have two kinds of believers in Christ all over the globe. Wise and foolish virgins. D. Jesus made us to know in the parable that both foolish and wise virgins are expecting the coming of the bride. E. And it made us to know that all believers in Christ both foolish and wise virgins are in courtship with Jesus, and you know that it is not all courtship ends as marriage! Right now Jesus is dating us! And the purpose why we give our lives to Jesus is to enter into marriage supper with Him in heaven after rapture! Because the purpose why a young man and a young woman goes into courtship to date themselves is to watch each other to know may be they can live together as husband and wife for ever. So Jesus is watching you and me may be we will be qualify to enter in to marriage supper with Him. Friend, Jesus is in courtship with you and me and all believers all over the world. Right now He is watching you and me. And Jesus have standard, His standard is holiness after conversion to Him, so you cant live in sin and expected to eat marriage supper with Him. Without holiness no one shall see the Lord Jesus . Hebrew 12:14. Friend, if you have surrendered your life to Jesus, you have to be conscious of the fact that you are in courtship with Jesus, the courtship may lead into marriage supper in heaven, or leads to damnation in hell. And in case you have not surrendered to Jesus you have to do so now, so that your sins could be forgiven and receive a new life, so that you will not end your earthly journey in the lake of fire. The bible said in John 3:16, that For God so loved the world and gave His only be gotten son to us that who so ever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. It equally means that those who willingly reject Jesus as Lord and Saviour will perish in hell. Friend, make a U turn to follow Jesus this year, and forsake your sinful habits, and your life will never remain the same. Happy prosperous year 2015.
