Willow is relaxed, playful, tolerant and loves to play gently with children and other dogs despite her EXPNOCHILD rating. Also loving toward strangers she enjoys fetch and with her people focus and food motivation will be a breeze to train. She is also a class one snuggler! So will a lack of time and a common cold be her end? WILLOW TO BE DESTROYED - 10/9/14 Manhattan Center -P Animal ID # is A1016104. 8 MONTHS old. A volunteer writes: Little Willow is a puppy who has lived and played gently with children of all ages. She would be friendly with and exuberant in the company of other dogs. We are told she is house trained. Still, Willow was left with us as her owners did not have time to bring up a youngster anymore…..The story repeats itself again and again….How do you think Willow feels now? She is anxious and barks easily. She was used to a home and a family. She felt safe and loved. Like kids, young dogs need stability to grow up and this drastic change is not a good thing in Willows life. She likes treats and seeks food wherever she can see or smell it. Willow is rather on the thin side…She comes right away when I call her and fits nicely her small body on my lap. Willow does not bark anymore. She feels right at home. She runs after a ball but does not retrieve it. She does not mind me taking it out of her mouth. She sits on command and for treats. Willow has certainly some element of basic training and is willing to please. She was distressed meeting other dogs at the beginning of her stay but seems to feel much better now sharing a pen with them as she is getting slowly used to her new environment. Little Willow needs a home, the love of a master and the pledge that she will be, always, forever, the best friend she was meant to be. Willow is at the Manhattan Care Center.
