WINNING EACH DAY DEVOTIONAL 2 Cor 2:14 “And thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph…” Dec 31, 2014 IT IS FINISHED! John 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” 1. GOD DOES NOT END SOMETHING WITHOUT STARTING ANOTHER: As the year rounds off, it simply signifies the beginning of another set of experiences. God does not end something without starting another. If He says “Forget the former things!” it’s because “a new thing springs forth” (Isa 43:18-19) When He brings us out of the kingdom of darkness, He does not leave us in limbo, but rather transports us into the kingdom of His dear Son. (Col 1:13) When He calls us out of darkness, He accompanies us into His marvellous light. (1Pet 2:9) When He draws us out of the miry clay, He sets our feet upon the Rock to stay. (Psa 40:2) When God says “Out with the old”, He also declares “in with the new!” 2. GOD DOES NOT START WHAT HE HAS NOT ENDED: If God is taking us to 2015, it is because He has already completed it in our favour. Man plans and then works towards the end; God takes us through process because there is already an end! If you are in the script, it is evidence that the Author (Heb 12:1) has it all arranged with a beautiful ending. God has no uncompleted projects. CONFESSION: This year ends in my favour!
