WITH ABUNDANT GRATITUDE! Many very favorable comments have been received regarding our Lenten and Easter services. So much time, energy and attention goes into planning such a busy schedule of worship experiences with many contributions from a lot of people. Personally, I want to thank Sally Sugita, Chris Fatzenger and the Fellowship Committee for the Lenten Suppers and Andi Swavely, Kathy and Nicholas Gehringer, Eleanor and Vicki Erb, Alice Nester and Wendy Schiavo for the April Fellowship Hour; Carol Detweiler, the Christian Education Board and the youth (and their parents) for the meaningful “Walk Through Holy Week” and the First Communion Training, Susan Gutshall and volunteer Lisa Caputo for creating the many and various bulletins; Deb Matthews, all the choirs and the Easter brass players-Bill and David Helmer, Erin Magee and Greg Mest for the Passion Sunday drama and powerful music throughout the season; Becky Gallagher, Marilyn Malason and the altar guild for preparing the altar with the appropriate colored vestments and communion settings and for adorning the chancel with palms and lilies; the assistance of Pr. Sue Lang, each of the readers, cantors, liturgists, acolytes, crucifers, ushers and greeters including those who were scheduled for such duties and those recruited last minute in order to fill in where a volunteer was missing. “In your presence is fullness of joy, and in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” ~Psalm 16.11 With thanksgiving and praise to God for his abundant blessings and the pleasures of serving and worshiping with all who participated as servants and as worshipers! +Pr.
