WITHDRAWAL OF ITV (INDEPENDENT TELEVISION) ACCREDITATION; A WELCOME DEVELOPMENT. The withdrawal of Independent Television accreditation of the correspondent and Camera man attached to the Edo State Government House is a welcome development. It will be recall that this is not the first time the station has been sacked from the government house. During the tenure of former Governor Oserheimen Osunbor, ITV was sacked from government house for unprofessional conduct of which they are good very at. I hope the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) would investigate the activities of ITV because their deliberate false reports which has now become an everyday activity for them is against the ethics of Journalism. Its a big shame that ITV as a Station which is meant to sensitize and educate the public have fall so cheap to be used to misinform, misrepresent and confuse the public. Thats why ITV can never be compared to Private television stations like CHANNELS TV, TVC (Television Continental), STV (Silverbird Television) and even AIT (African Independent Television) when it comes to proper News casting and Reporting. As a matter of fact NTA (Nigeria Television Authority) is far better than ITV. ITV should wake up to her responsibility and stop constituting JOURNALISTIC Nuisance.
