WORD FOR THE DAY “DEMOCRACY” WHY IS THE SPREADING OF “DEMOCRACY” (POLITICAL DEMOCRACY) SO IMPORTANT TO THE ELITE (EL-EVATEAD ONES)? READ THE FOLLOWING DEFINITION AND IT WILL ANSWER THAT QUESTION… DEMOCRACY IS THE PREFERRED SYSTEM BECAUSE IT GIVES THE POLITICAL POWER TO THE MEDIA… democracy can be classified into two types – (a) political democracy (b) economic democracy. In political democracy, lots of time gets wasted in discussing issues like sharing of power, seat adjustments, grouping and regrouping of support groups and so on. It is also found that important decisions are always kept pending and things hardly move due to lack of decisions in one go. Moreover, in political democracy the motive of the people running the government is to cling on to the seat of power. – ECONOMIC “DEMOCRACY”… In economic democracy, time is nicely spent in finding out ways and means of making the country more vibrant. Concepts like inclusive growth, benefits accruing to the masses, raising the GDP, all-round infrastructural growth, more job opportunities, more economic benefits, are discussed at length at various forums through brainstorming sessions to arrive at tangible solutions. The focus in economic democracy is to serve the people much better rather than clinging on to power. In authoritarian government rule, people have no say whatsoever in running of the government. However, the big plus point in authoritarian government is that work is done at high pace (at jet speed) in order to implement new regulations or policies. It is in the hands of the voters to ensure that candidates selected have a strong belief and commitment in economic democracy and can deliver the requisite goods. - AND PPL WONDER WHY THINGS NEVER GET DONE…
