WOW! It really is true, life can change in an instant, just one decision... I just got a call from one of my great friends that I was working for today. He had to get some parts we needed from Kingston. He asked me to go, but I had another appointment and a dinner date with my grandfather and father so I told him I would be back around 8pm. He took me to lunch and out for dessert stating that it was such a beautiful day and we need to take advantage of it... It was a great day!!! I stopped by the house at 8pm. Truck in the driveway, house was dark. I called his cell, no answer, I called the house, no answer. I text him and waited for 15 minutes, then headed home, wondering where could he possibly be... I as originally supposed to go tomorrow afternoon, but I had an opening in my schedule, so he said "Come on over!" He just called from Albany, heavily sedated from his hospital bed. He sliced his liver, fractured 5 ribs and has a broken scapula... He was in a motorcycle accident on the bridge... If I went, would he have taken the truck or would I have gone for a ride on the bike??? I sit here in total shock! I want to cry, but feel a sense of relief. His life has now been greatly altered and mine could be too. Or it could have never happened at all! You never know what life has around the corner for you!!! He is a truly great friend. He was telling me today how great life is right now. My heart is aching for him. Wishing him a speedy recovery!!! LIFE CAN CHANGE IN AN INSTANT!!!
