WOW WOW WOW Facebook Theme Song: I think the re-occurring theme/ MEME of so many great Facebook shares has to be the idea that we can CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY, that persistence will always overcome. Dont for a second think that this happy- clappy song and lyrics is not backed by ALMOST FIFTY YEARS of real living it out. This band should be celebrated-if not for music as sublime as the Beatles, then for an incredible tenacity and life force... Often times, Artists write or sing of things of which they have no knowledge or personal experience. NOT IN THIS CASE! I just read the WIKIPEDIA PAGE en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fleetwood_Mac -and never has any Artist/Band so totally embodied a song lyric or, in this case, a Life-philosophy. (of being positive, not giving up) If you have a LONG TIME lol go ahead and read the unbelievable journey this band has been on, starting as Blues session players in 60s London. After 7 years of limited success, by chance, Buckingham and Nicks (his g/f) met the band in an L.A. recording studio, and joined the group on Jan 1, 1974- a fortuitous turn of events indeed; it spawned RUMORS (one of the highest selling albums of all time-a bonafide worldwide hit) and this song. There were so many twists, quits and returns, visits to Betty Ford, bankruptcies, band member suicides, deaths, this group has been through and they were all part of Pop/Rocks inner circles for FIVE DECADES NOW. Incredibly, there was even a fake Fleetwood Mac tour when the bands manager decided he owned the name Fleetwood Mac! The REAL members eventually got the truth out and went on to infamy. In one gig in Germany, the promoters even turned the power off but they kept playing acoustic! DONT STOP INDEED! The material is anything but fresh but all I can do is APPLAUD an incredible life and work ethic... My own little brush with the band: one of my first jobs when I got a car, I was a delivery boy for a liquor store in the Pacific Palisades and one of my frequent deliveries was to STEVIE NICKSs (shes the first blonde onstage, Christine McVie is introduced and wrote the song) home, on Sunset. I had the pleasure and privilege of delivering cases of Champagne to her wedding at her gorgeous home by Will Rogers Park; her song landslide came on the radio once, as I made a delivery! And Ill always remember also how their office was at the Sunset/Gower studios, a few blocks from where I live now. https://youtube/watch?v=kJPhM5oQepw
