Walking in GOD We are walking with Enoch, when we walk in God - TopicsExpress

Walking in GOD We are walking with Enoch, when we walk in God alone – and we are walking with GOD alone, when we are walking in the Light as He is in the Light (I John 1: 7). Enoch is the son of Jared (Gen 5:3-18), the father of Methuselah, and the great-grandfather of Noah. The text reads that Enoch walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him, (Gen 5:22-29). The Christian New Testament also has three references to Enoch (Luke 3:37, Hebrews 11: 5, Epistle of Jude 1:14–15). St. Jude is especially appropriate for the times wherein we live in Christ dear one. He speaks of Enoch in the context of For there are certain men crept in privily, [even] they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. And to these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have ungodly wrought, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words]), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage. (St. Jude 1: 14-16) Dear one, we need to remember that we are “passing through” --- we are not going to live on this planet forever – in fact – we are all in the process of dying, even as we walk with GOD alone, like Enoch. Now, Enoch did not die – for GOD took him, and he was not. There is a generation that will not die, when Jesus comes in Glory someday – but we shall all be changed, as St. Paul says in I Corinthians 15. We know that for now the profound Truth is that we ought to walk in the Light! Therefore, dear one – “if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Let us be aware of and become a doer of the Word of the LORD, forgetting the world, the flesh and the devil who seeks to deceive us into walking in the ways of Babylon and the earth – as it was before the Flood of Noah.
