Wanted to give everyone a quick update: Tracey Dumas & friends are donating newspaper, cleaning supplies, blankets, toys, beds, collars, etc. to be delivered Saturday. Today I caught the 3 Biewer puppies playing, the 2 tiny old ladies playing and Heidi the Cairn was chewing on a beef ear. Also, Crissy the long-haired Biewer actually came up to me and played with me! Then Ellie bit me over cleaning her ears :-( They all got ear plucking & flushing and wow at the gunk coming out! Were going through ear meds, dewormer, dog food, bleach spray and newspaper like crazy -- filled up 2 large trash bags today! Little bit of bad news ~ the Athens Spay/Neuter Clinic cant see all the pups at once. Ill have to take anywhere from 1-4 per day depending on availability. This puts the last dogs getting spayed/neutered Nov. 13. Would anyone like to volunteer to call around to all the vets here in Athens and surrounding areas to see if theyll do it sooner for the same price? I currently pay $55 for boys and $60 for girls with $10 rabies and $10 DHPP.
