Wanted to let everyone know that I made it through surgery today with no complications. But wanted to tell you a little about my experience. First off to my out of town friends. I had the surgery at the new Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital. Wonderful facility & the staff could not have been nicer. One the nurses from ER Sunday night came over to check on me & hug my neck. Said she had been worried about me. Then the biggest surprise was they assign an MD to check in throughout the surgery. In walked Connor Odom s mother. I have done a lot of theater with her 2 kids. What a great feeling to know I had theater family checking on me!! But all went well. Dr. did say it looked like I would not be able to put weight on it now for 8-14 weeks. And I would have to take 4 weeks off work receiving home physical therapy. The first week or so will be teaching me how to get around on 1 foot. Then after that strengthening the legs & working to avoid blood clots!! Thanks for all the prayers.
