War veterans speak on polls: The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association says it will endorse a leader who has nationalistic ideologies and has the empowerment of the people at heart as all the Chimurengas were waged to emancipate oppressed indigenous people. The war veterans said they can only support a leader who has the ideals of independence at heart. The association’s national chairman, Cde Jabulani Sibanda told the ZBC News that the liberation struggle was waged in order to free black people from bondage and war veterans can only support a leader whose policies are in line with empowering the same people by giving them ownership of their resources. The two liberation movements that executed the armed struggle PF ZAPU and Zanu PF had the same ideals and reclaiming the land was at the centre of their ideologies.
