Watched Noah today and I will use a term I don’t ever think I used before... #SMH Which is ironic with all the #HashTagging your #BlindBrother does. :-) So turned off by the distorted version of the true story. Some may say of course because it’s Hollywood. Unfortunately many of God’s people will just dismiss it as a good action movie and at least it has some kind of God in it. #SMH Have we really gotten that desparate? Yes, of course Hollywood will tell the story through their lens. Which is almost always God is so unfair towards the devil, man is too dumb to think for themselves yet smart enough to destroy all of creation, we are bent on ruining our environment all the while we are fined for watering our grass too much and are foolish for standing up for farmlands, and there really is no absolutes between good and evil. It’s all relative. #SMH My main concern is not Holloywoods methods. I pray for the peace and salvation of Hollywood but it’s those who are constantly exposed to their version of the truth. Yet have minimum exposure to the truth of God. Here’s my biggest #SMH though. Noah was a pretty symbolic version of most churches. Politically correct, light on the consequences of the law, undecided about the justness of God, and if we really try and do more good things than bad then maybe just maybe we will make it to heaven. Again, the entertainment value of this movie was top notch. They did what they do best. Straight up twisted up the Bible like a “Nappiness Is Happiness” hair day. Like super clean though. My problem is not so much with the movie or those who made it. My concern is with those of us who misguidedly accept and okay the distortion of the truth as a good alternative to the truth we fight so diligently for. I’m sure there’s some who may get a little or maybe more than a little bothered.
