We Americans have the power to generate any future we choose. The shell game is the limited offers given us via media bought by corporations. This is limited down to a simplistic usually right/wrong, us/them or good/bad presentation designed to rally extreme positions causing division in The People. It is a tactic of control utilized against us using our liwer human nature. Its name divide and conquer. A tact that actually creates fighting among each other distracting from the real foe. The only way to separate yourself from years of programming aimed at you and designed to produce predictable behavior they hope you succumb to is to know thyself. Whether by meditation, time alone, cognitive processes conscious selection to be tolerant and empathetic, courage to include others different from yourself and see their good and wisdom they share by association. As We the People we have more than enough to make our way to real freedom and creativity toward a sustainable peace and loving world. Start with you.
