We Are Not Saved By Faith Alone Read carefully these words given by God. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). Now, an easy question. Can a person who shows no mercy be saved? This is one point which demonstrates that we must do all the Lord instructs. Just as we cannot neglect mercy, neither can we neglect any other instruction Does this mean we are saved by works? Not by works of merit, but works of righteousness are required by God. Read James 2:14-26 for a further explanation. As you read the New Testament of our Lord, listen to his instructions. Be earnest in trying to do all he says, in the way he says to do it. And in everything, rejoice that we are saved by his love, mercy, kindness, and grace - as we walk with him.
