“We are God’s idea. We are His. His face. His eyes. His Hands. - TopicsExpress

“We are God’s idea. We are His. His face. His eyes. His Hands. His touch. We are him. Look deeply into the face of every human being on earth, and you will see his likeness. Though some appear to be distant relatives, they are not. God has no cousins, only children. We are incredibly, the body of Christ. And though we may not act like our Father, there is no greater truth than this, we are His. Unalterably. Undyingly. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.” It is comforting to remember that no matter how big the ups and downs of life- and there are as many high hills as there are deep dips- it’s always comforting to remember that we are not an after-thought. We are not second-best. We are the best-loved children of the God of Love. Life is all about relationships, and our relationship with Christ is strengthened when we are experiencing both the positives of everyday living and the negatives. Scripture promises us that we will have life and have it abundantly, if we follow Him. But the life of a Christian isn’t perfect or mistake-free. The key to living the abundant life is first to realize to really understand in your heart- that you personally are going to have both good days and bad days. There will be days everything seems to go your way, and there will be days when nothing seems to work out right. The second key is to remember than the low points don’t define you any more than the high points do. The older I get, the more I realize that life is just the way it is, and it’s more about how we react to it than it is anything else. We are defined by how we live, what we say and what we do, in both the crisis and the crowning. Life is going to have its ups and downs, but a lot of who we are is determined by how we react to those peaks and valleys. If we let the low spots in life get us down, we become negative, pessimistic and self-absorbed. If we choose to see the opportunities and the silver lining, then we’re more optimistic, hopeful and focused on others. It’s when we’re focused on the author of creation that we shine the brightest. My best advice to all, "keep looking up."
