We are excited to announce the success of our Junior Veterinary Certification Open House on the afternoon of Saturday, December 13, 2014. Thanks to 13 Bellevue schools who helped inform their students and parents about this event, over 50 children attended with their parents from 2:30-5:30pm at our hospital in Bellevue. The objective of this event was for children to learn all about veterinary medicine. We had four educational stations set up on surgery, dentistry, radiology and toxicology. Staff members were located at each station to give a presentation and have the children answer questions at the end of each talk. After the children completed all four stations, they took their completed questionnaires to our certification station where the answers were reviewed and each child received a certificate of completion of the program. The children were also encouraged to sign their names or draw a picture on a commemorative blanket that the hospital will use for surgery patients moving forward. Our team enjoyed meeting with all the kids and their parents and we were very impressed by the quality answers they provided in their questionnaire - they really focused and listened well during the event! As a new practice in Bellevue, we appreciate the opportunity like this to connect with you.
