We are less apt to fall under the spell of individuals who do not have our best interests in mind when we are careful whose counsel we accept. When we are in need of guidance, many people will come forward with advice intended to influence our direction. The sheer volume of suggestions we receive can make choosing a path that much more difficult as we may be unsure of who we can trust.
