We are posting this because Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter will delete it once they see it. Thank you Catherine Leedy for being brave enough to speak out about what you saw happening at the shelter. We do take issue with Catherine stating that the shelter works within a limited budget; we know thats not true, the money just doesnt reach the animals. We also take issue with the fact that she says the animals were well-cared for. Considering she admits to never venturing into the cat rooms, where we have said most of the horrors take place, and that she had limited access in general, her scope of what is truly happening within the shelter is very limited. However, we believe her experience with the shelter is worth reading and applaud her for speaking out to the best of her knowledge. We cannot leave comment on the page because HRAS has blocked us.
