We are so excited to have Raymond Partolan share his journey with us this Sunday. Here is a brief bio of Raymond. Raymond Partolan – Short Biography Raymond is a junior at Mercer University, currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish with a minor in Criminal Justice. Having faced adversity for the greater part of his life as an undocumented student who moved to the country at the tender age of one, he understands the importance of hard work and dedication in order to accomplish his goals. After graduating from Central High School in Macon, Georgia as the salutatorian and being awarded a diploma from the rigorous International Baccalaureate program, he was fortunate enough to be awarded a full scholarship to Mercer University—one of the premier private institutions in the Southeastern United States. Today, he serves as the student body president, competes competitively in oral advocacy competitions on the intercollegiate mock trial team, mentors freshman students as a Peer Advisor, and remains heavily committed to the cause of comprehensive immigration reform. His passion for helping others resounds as he seeks to bring about change to this nation’s broken immigration system so that others may have the chance to maximize their potential by having a post-secondary education made available to them. At the moment, he is fighting for in-state tuition in the state of Georgia, where he resides, for DACA-eligible students, to whom it is still withheld. He enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, playing the piano and violin, fishing, and being outdoors. His favorite author is John Grisham and loves to read legal thrillers. He enjoys all types of music and enjoys spending time with friends.
