We can expect changes in the real estate landscape in 2015..... The year now ending has been marked by the ongoing boom in Sydney, solid growth in a couple of other capital cities, and the emergence of key regional markets. Next year will see a momentum shift in the biggest cities, with the greatest growth happening in the cheaper areas well beyond the inner city. There will also be a bigger focus on regional Australia, as key towns and cities continue to show growth in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. We are likely to see signs of recovery in resources-related towns which have suffered recently through over-supply at a time of weakening demand. The Reserve Bank has made it clear it has no plans to change interest rates any time soon and consumer confidence should remain solid in 2015. Im expecting a solid year overall in residential real estate, without the Sydney-centric euphoria about surging house prices. - Via Terry Ryder
