We knew this summer would be a busy one with us taking over management of Free Lunch for Kids from Carolyn Downton but we didnt realize it was so physical! Thankful for a good team at RSVP of the Ohio Valley, with great staff members, VISTA staff, and summer youth workers: Susan Rogers, Cher Fults Bellar, Krystal Wilson, Hope Chandler, Barbara Brackman, John Rogers, Pamela Dotson, Stephanie Howell, Mikayla Payne and Austin Linley; our VISTA supervisor Tim Jones; the volunteers who have taken on supervisory roles of sites and routes: Audrey Jones, Rachel Miller, Terry Brown, Lorna Richison, Ella Perez, Cynthia Davis, Nancy Smith, Tayla Bragg (Vena & Robert), Bev & Brent McGowan, Kathy White Miller, Calvin & Maudine Minnis, Denver Keels, Gene & Elaine Armstrong, Matt McKee, Cheryl Browning, Carly Womeldorf, Megan Peters, Dawn Coleman, Kim Milliken, Terry Witt, Connie Bradbury, and Debbie Eleam; Leo Club Advisor Crystal Finch, Jaquetta Pittenger, Avery Walke, Kathy Landrum, and other Leo Club members; school principals John Balzer and Melissa Ball; our friends from Bellisios and General Mills led by Adam Sprague and Aaron Allen; and our state partners who have made the funding possible: Kim Hettel and her team at the Gov Office, and Lisa Hamler-Fugitt and her team at Ohio Foodbanks. And the MANY, MANY community volunteers who have served in some capacity! Everyone has worked together so well to make this summer a success. Two more weeks! Be sure to join us at one of our lunch sites! And remember that we will be distributing produce again next week, and weekend backpacks on Fridays until school starts!
