We pray to Lord Vishnu to remove all obstacles, He who is clothed in dazzlingly pure clothes, has four arms, is ever happy and smiling. I bow to Vyaasa, the great grandson of Vasishtha, the grandson of that pure sage Sakti, son of Parashara and to the father of the great taponidhi Suka! Salutations, again and again, to Vyasa, a visible aspect of Lord Vishnu and to Lord Vishnu who, in Turn, is also a visible aspect of Vyasa, The sage descended from Vasistha and a veritable treasure of Vedik knowledge of Brahman. Salutation to Lord Vishnu who is immutable Who is inherently pure and eternal, The Supreme soul who has a consistent Undiversified form in all times and ages and is the conqueror of one and all. My salutation to that all powerful deity, Vishnu the mere contemplation of whose name frees all persons from the bonds of sansara, the terrific cycle of birth and death. Salutation to that all powerful Vishnu denoted by Om.
